In case you don't remember, Peter Willows told Lib-Dem Councillor, Paul Elgood and James Ledward, editor of GScene, that he believed all gay men to be paedophiles. This remark was made at an official council event.
The Argus have been running a poll asking if their readers feel Peter Willows should have been prosecuted.
Over the weekend the figure reached 87% of readers thought he should.
The Christian Right in Brighton have sent an email round to their supporters asking them to vote no.
If you believe he should have been prosecuted please go online and encourage your friends and colleagues to
vote yes if they believe he should have been prosecuted.

Anyone saying something like that is wrong - a person in public office saying things like that - which are deeply offensive - really does deserve prosecution. Perhaps it will show that in the eyes of the law, these sorts of remarks are simply unacceptable.
read moreabsolute bollocks. Seems to be something to hide behind for people who think they should be able to air completely bigotted, defamatory and libellous views.
As for the 'freedom of speech' argument - ...
