Hi guys, chat chat and gossip!
Tuesday, 28th February 2006, 5:03pm
Just wanted to give a big thankyou to helen who stage managed the golden handbags, who most of you will not know, she also stage manages the revenge cabaret tent at pride and the phil starr tribute in the dome. She seems never to get a mention apart from Lola, who as usual leads the thanks where needed, I personally wanted to give my thanks to her as we all worked like bastards on sunday night, just like the waiting staff, but were hidden away behind the scenes.I have worked with her for the above 3 events stated and wanted to say how fab she is.
Also on another note, please remember just because the real brighton photographers may not have 'shot you' on the night, many more people were involved in the handbags than were seen.
Yes the unloved!!! LOL

Obviously it's difficult to photograph every aspect of an event - although it's never good to hear that we've missed important people off the list of thankyous. I've adjusted the review accordingly, and hereby present my personal list of un-photographed but certainly not unloved:
read morepent days slaving over a hot database trying to make sure we had comprehensible nominations and scores from the various categories.
Timmy... who has s...
Huw... who trawled through the vote database looking for entertaining snippets to put on Lola's notes.
Richard... in Thailand who helped us get the server back on its feet when we sent out the 2,000 odd emails telling people that they'd been nominated for a category...
James... once again... for having the idea and following-through with the whole projection idea which I think is one of thethings that helps make the whole evening sparkle.
...I'm sure I've forgotten more people... damnit!

At the risk of mutual appreciation, can I also thank Sam, who remains unphotographed as he single handedly produced a yet-again fantastic and enormous photographic record of the evening. Not just taking the photos, but also sifting through them for the best, reformatting for the RB site and uploadin...
read moreg them. He also helped me with the graphics slides, took unlimited phonecalls from me asking who such-and-such are and who, as always, is a sounding block for when I go off on one.... and, of course, for interfering in my slide show for the better....xx

Hear Hear, Ruby Roo!
Thanks, once again, to you and Helen for doing a superb job, keeping me sane, and the artistes with 'working' microphones. And despite the hard work, we manage to have a laugh as well.........MWAH! XXX

Thanks for the comments guys, perhaps it would be cool to have an area on realbrighton where we can have mutual appreciation wall, (rouges gallery!!) where we can big up the silent few or not so few or.......er silent almost mutual mas~@%bation!! without all the mess!! , where the sickly sweet comments were allowed!! or is this already in place!!??? anyone!??
