Aaaalmost there! Just another thousand or so photos left to get through, but the majority of them are up there now which is very good news... and just in time for REALManchester's coverage of Manchester Pride!
One of the highlights for me was Saturday morning - walking towards the seafront to take some early morning shots of people putting their floats together...
The streets were pretty empty, but as I walked down past Komedia there were two girls walking along holding hands. I asked them if they'd mind me snapping a couple of back views of them as they walked, to which they agreed. As I took the shots they stopped and kissed a couple of times and then, as I walked past, I wished them a happy pride and said how pleased I was that the weather was so good... they looked at each other and then one of them turned to me and said that she wouldn't have minded if it had been snowing. Awwww!
It reminded me that Pride, for these two, was simply about walking down the street holding hands and kissing the person you love... without fear of recrimination.
