Well… Unless you actually went to the 120th Birthday Party at Stanmer House on Saturday you will never truly appreciate the experience. All I can say is “Sam…I can’t wait to see the photo’s”.
Here’s a very big thank you to Simone, David and Howie for showing us all how to have a real fancy dress party. The music courtesy of Dulcie Danger and King K was amazing and the Kylie show performed for everyone by Simone, David and Howie was the highlight of the night.
One of the biggest things that made the evening so perfect was that everyone who attended made such an amazing effort to dress up in fancy dress.
But wait… Even after the party finished at 2am everyone still wanted to hit the town, and where did we all go in mass and in fancy dress? MONKEY! The customers at Monkey were as surprised as the staff to see so many people turning up in regency costume and fancy dress. And even after that we were all standing in the delightful surroundings of the Bull Dog all dressed up till 6am having a little post mortem of the evening’s events and a night cap.
I’m told from reliable sources all around Brighton that the walking wounded were still making there way home at 3pm through the busy streets of Brighton in full fancy dress.
All I can say is, “What a night”. And well done all who went along to celebrate the 120th Birthday of 3 of Brighton’s loveliest people. The night’s events will stay with me for ever!

guys you know how to throw a ball.. i have to say that was the most amazing party of the year. the house was BEAUTIFUL, the costumes amazing.. i want to say a BIG THANKYOU to Simone, David and Howie, and a mention for Greg who made it run so smoothly. FULL ON AND FABULOUS!!!

I was one of the Monkey punters Saturday and I have to say that the party guests' arrival completely picked up the atmosphere big-time so I reckon a large clump of the Brighton scene felt the positive knock-on effects of that party. Wow!!!!!! What a party! Loved every minute...From trying on numerous frocks at Mad world fancy dress hire in Crawley (highly recommend them, reasonable prices, lovely helpful staff.)

And of course seeing all the incredible costumes and effort everyone had gone to. Just as I thought I had found the most creative/biggest/flamboyant/fabulous dress i'd see another one. (Richard those 6 foot thighs made from washing baskets and the 2 wigs into 1 were quite possibly the greatest achievement of the night!!!)
Thanks so much to Howie, Simone and David who were the hostesses with the mostesses! Fab fab fab. Hope you had as much fun as we did. Thanks again and I can't wait to see the photos. Steve xxx
