The Marine Tavern is a small and cosy traditional pub (remember those?), where the bar staff are friendly and so are the customers. Predominantly gay men prop up the bar while camp music plays without intruding into conversation. With a pub quiz every week and various fundraising activities on the odd occasion, this establishment is how a gay pub should be - free from attitude and part of the community.

Steve, Nat and team run a tight ship, and the extraordinarily retro toilets are not to be missed. Quite literally, please.
