The Fountain Inn has established itself as one of the favourite local pubs in the Crawley & Gatwick area with a truly mixed crowd of regulars - both gay and straight.
In the picturesque surroundings of Handcross - a charming Sussex Village, from the outside you'd be forgiven in thinking it's just another traditional country pub. Step inside, however, and you'll think again - it's a tale of two halves.
On one side is a comfortable lounge bar and restaurant, albeit with a contemporary twist in décor with comfy leather sofas and plenty of tables and chairs. Here you can put the world to rights with friends over a pint or two, or order something from the very yummy and varied food menu - including the most fantastic Sunday roasts.
On the other side, however, it's glamour and glitter all the way with a spacious standing bar, complete with cabaret stage. Home to regular karaoke, quiz nights and cabaret - there's something to entertain everyone gay or gay-friendly.
Watch out for regular themed nights - now the stuff of local folklore as it seems the whole village gets dressed up and launches themselves into the spirit of a damned good party!
The Fountain Inn has won The Golden Handbag Award for Best Out Of Town (Brighton) Venue for the past three years - and it's very easy to see why.
