The monthly Wild Fruit is undoubtedly one of Brighton's clubbing institutions. Always glamorous, always packed and always great music from resident DJs Pete Haywood, Neil Duffie and friends. The night is often punctuated with stage acts, muscly dancers, regular live big name PAs and guest DJs such as local superstar DJ Norman Cook... it's NEVER a dull party!

As you may have noticed from the phtoos, Wild Fruit parties are notorious for their themes... from big hair to pants to footballer's wives to the huge fundraising Red Party marking World Aids day. Loads of people make the effort with outrageous costumes, body paint, or often just take the opportunity to wear as little as possible!

The venue, Tru on West Street, has undergone a number of transformations over the years and now offers three dancefloors, five bars (the Fruit crew have somehow managed to wangle some great drinks offers) and without a doubt one of the biggest and best sound and light systems in the South. You can squeeze over 1,800 people into this place... just! Wild Fruit frequently fills it to capacity, so make sure you get down there early... or have bought yourself a queue-jump ticket... preferably both.

The company behind Wild Fruit, Aeon Events, is also responsible for other big nights such as the weekly summer tea dance, Sunday Sundae, the irregular Monkey, Fruit's after party Rebel and the sometimes sunday nighter - Cash Queen. If you like things fruity, there's almost certainly something for you every weekend!
