The Black Horse, close to the new Jubilee Library in the heart of Brighton's Cultural Quarter, is a traditional pub with plenty of heart and captures some of that true Brighton character. The friendly bar to the front offers plenty of entertainment throughout the week, including live music and regular cabaret, whilst a separate dining area at the back means that you can still enjoy a meal and a chat even with all that going on.
Right opposite Brighton's theatreland, it's a perfect place for a sneaky pre-show drink or a snack or something more substantial from the menu of pub classics. A very friendly and capable team will certainly help you make your selection and keep you entertained, along with some real characters amongst the regulars!
In warmer weather, the front provides some limited seated for those who want to watch Brighton's fascinating characters go by. For those patrons who wish to smoke, there is a patio garden at the rear of the bar.
