Pride London Announces Date for 2009

Following the success of their 2008 event where official figures estimate 825,000 people participated, Pride London have today announced the date for 2009.

Pride London 2009 will take place on Saturday 4th July 2009.

Planning for the event is already underway, and further announcements will be made over the coming weeks.

Pride London Shortlisted for Award @ Royal Albert Hall, London

PRIDE London are pleased to announce their shortlisting for a prestigious Visit London 2008 Award.

All shortlisted entries will stand a chance of winning an Award at a ceremony to be hosted at the Royal Albert Hall on 27th November 2008. There are up to three awards per category: Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Whether successful or not, its expected to be a fantastic and spectacular evening, where guests will be taken on a journey through the energy and diversity of the world's coolest city.

Paul Birrell, Chair of Pride London said "We're delighted to be short-listed for Visit London's Awards. This year Pride London put on the UK's biggest ever Pride event, at last giving London the LGBT showcase that it deserves."
