george iv guesthouse... stunning views and great location
With its setting on one of Brighton's finest squares and with breathtaking views of the seafront and the spectral West Pier, George IV Guesthouse is an ideal place to stay to get a true flavour of Brighton. Close to dozens of restaurants and bars, and a short walk from the city's theatre, conferencing and nightlife quarters, not to mention the beach out front, it's perfect whether you're here on business or pleasure.
The rooms range from single to double or triple rooms, four of which have wonderful views across the square to the sea, including the gorgeous balcony room for a spot of pure indulgence. The spacious bedrooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished with a definite Regency twist as the name might suggest. Guests are well looked after with in-room tea & coffee facilities and a TV with DVD - an extensive selection of DVDs is available for you to choose from, or for more entertainment you can take advantage of the books, newspapers and board games on offer. The reception room is also available to guests and you can investigate the fabulous 1950s jukebox or benefit from free wireless access to catch up with emails or browse the net.
Offering a warm and friendly welcome, Steve and Sue are there to ensure you have a great stay and the guesthouse comes highly recommended. Car parking is available just out front in the handy, but out-of-sight underground NCP.
George IV Guesthouse is committed to being friendly to the environment and are members of the industry-recognised Green Tourism Business Scheme.
A continental breakfast is available as an extra (so if you don't want breakfast, you don't have to force yourself to get up early), but the breakfast served on trollies in your room is a lovely touch with organic and fairtrade ingredients - well worth the small charge if just for the convenience factor.
For a great stay in a comfortable and immaculately presented guesthouse that's very keenly priced for Brighton, we have no hesitation in recommending George IV Guesthouse.
