"Well stocked, carries a good range of essentials for any queen - books to read, DVDs to watch, toys to play with and the important accessories, as well as some snazzy undies and jewellery. Staff really friendly and a mine of local infomation."

The Brighton AIDS Memorial
Now standing 11ft tall in the New Steine Gardens is 'Tay' - the UK's first AIDS memorial - a focal point for those whose lives have been affected by HIV.
Using over half a ton of clay, artist Romany Mark Bruce donated his time over the course of two of years to create the sculpture which was then cast in bronze.
The sculpture was unveiled by Elton John's partner, David Furnish, during a day of remembrance in October 2009 and was funded entirely by private donations.

Candlelit Vigil 2011 Last year snow... this year a downpour... but hundreds still turned up at New Steine Gardens for this year's candlelit vigil. |
