The Aquarium Theatre Bar is the new luvvie-ly guise of one of Brighton's oldest gay-friendly venues - set back from the seafront and just a stiletto's throw away from the Pier. The bar has had a recent facelift with décor that reflects its traditional roots but with a fresh, contemporary finish. You'll find the friendly and professional management team on hand to ensure a warm welcome and a music policy which, as you might expect from the theatrical theming, offers something for everyone - from musicals, to rat pack through to the artists of today.
A secluded terrace provides shelter for smokers whilst inside is a cosy sanctuary from those brisk Brighton breezes. For an extra rosy feel, the bar offers quality real ale, with guest ales making a regular appearance - in addition to a range of unique spirits to sample.
The venue is scrupulously clean, and the management is proud to boast of the most hygienic loos in the city!
As the name suggests, there is plenty of regular entertainment to be found on what must be the smallest stage in the country! The Aquarium Theatre Bar claims to have the biggest talent on the smallest stage and is keen to encourage up and coming stars of stage too - so keep an eye on the listings for complete details of who's on when.
There are big plans afoot for the venue, with traditional pub dishes soon to be offered. In the meantime, why not take advantage of the great bar prices which include daily happy hours that last considerably more than an hour...
For an attitude-free, friendly drink in the centre of town, why not drop by.
