Sparkle is one of the worlds largest transgender celebrations and takes place across a whole weekend in and around Manchester's world famous gay village.
Sparkle aims to provide a weekend of activities; social, educational and supportive - aimed at everyone right across the TG spectrum. One of the primary goals is to keep Sparkle free for all those who attend, so is made possible by being funded by the generous support of members of the TG community and from sponsorship and donations from businesses and other groups who work within, or support the transgender community.
The event is run totally on a not-for-profit basis, so any funds generated by the event are put straight back into the follow year's event - and this way, organisers hope to drive the event forward towards becoming a registered charity.
Whether you are Transvestite, Transgendered or Pre or Post Operation Transexual, Sparkle is for you. It's an excellent opportunity to meet new friends, find out about issues that may directly affect you, have an extraordinary amount of fun, and above all...Sparkle!
