The Star Inn
There's something more than a little comforting about the Star Inn, a new star in Brighton's gay quarter. Maybe it's the ample seating, the warm and cosy interior, or just the friendly guv'nor and staff. A traditional boozer, The Star has everything a self-respecting man's man should want. Sport telly, pub grub and plenty of ales on tap - it's no wonder that this is now one of the firm favourites for bear and cub types from Brighton and beyond. A welcome addition to the scene is the Bears' Beer Bash held at the Star on the first and third Sundays of the month.
Whilst by day it’s a great place to grab a beer, by night it’s a local experience. A place to meet up with old friends and make a few new ones... The Rover’s Return of Brighton’s gay scene! Although the place is popular with an older crowd the place is attitude free and welcomes everyone. A few little quirks makes it all the more endearing, such as the toilets being guarded by a combination lock... resulting in a surreptitious round of whispering when the time approaches to visit the little boys or girls room and can result in some Carol Vorderman-esque numeracy skills after a few pints!
