June Brown guest star for Christmas Show
Friday, 18th November 11
Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus is delighted to announce that the special guest star for its Brighton Dome Christmas show will be screen legend June Brown - aka Eastenders’ Dot Cotton.
June Brown said “I’m looking forward to joining the boys of the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus for their Christmas show. I can’t think of a better way to kickstart the festive season while raising money for such worthy causes.”
The Chorus are also honoured to have award winning comedian Zoe Lyons compering the show.
Zoe Lyons said “I am totally delighted to be part of the Brighton Gay Men's Chorus show at the Dome, particularly as it is helping to raise funds for Sussex Beacon who provide such vital services for men and women living with HIV/AIDS. As well as continuing to provide excellent out patient facilities there is an urgent need to raise money to keep the inpatient ward open. By coming to "Pull a Cracker" on Dec 11th, the audience will not only be getting right into the Yule time swing but also contributing towards another great cause this Christmas.”
The Choir’s most ambitious performance to date, has been rather aptly entitled Pull A Cracker with Brighton Gay Men's Chorus. The curtain will go up on this fun-filled festive fund-raiser at 8pm on Sunday 11th December at the Brighton Dome Concert Hall.
Other special guests are cabaret artiste Lorraine Bowen and talented vocalist Jodie Spencer. The Chorus will be delighting the crowds with their own brand of pop, disco, fun and festive favourites including classics like I Will Survive, O Holy Night and arguably the campest version of The 12 Days Of Christmas ever performed!
Embracing the Christmas notions of giving and sharing, Brighton Gay Men's Chorus (a registered charity in its own right) has announced it will be working with the Sussex Beacon Urgent Appeal to help them raise the £150,000 needed to keep their Inpatient Unit open. This association effectively means that every ticket purchased will not only provide priceless entertainment but will also help two fantastic causes!
Pull A Cracker with Brighton Gay Men's Chorus 11th Dec £7.50 - £10 - £12.50 - £15
