Brighton Pride : news
Pride Announces Ticketing and More Concessions
Thursday, 14th April 11
Pride in Brighton & Hove is delighted to announce that tickets for this year's main park event will be on sale on from Thursday 21st April 2011.
As previously announced tickets will be on sale to local residents first at £8.50, originally this was to cover all BN postcodes only, however after listening to feedback from residents just outside the BN postcode area this offer is being extended to include all East and West Sussex postcodes, and lengthened to three weeks - giving all Sussex residents the chance to benefit from a reduced rate and the opportunity to purchase tickets first.
As well as the extended postcode offer Pride in Brighton & Hove is very pleased to announce that children and young people’s tickets will be available at a further reduction, this move follows representation by student organisations and feedback from family groups. All children under 12 will receive a free ticket (when booked with an adult ticket) and for the first three weeks tickets for under 18’s in all East and West Sussex postcodes will be just £5.
On Thursday 12th May tickets will go on general release. Special reductions for under 18’s will still apply, for those living outside the Sussex counties the ticket prices will be £12.50 for an adult ticket, £8.50 for under 18’s and children under 12 will be free of charge (when booked with an adult ticket).
For the first year of ticketing Pride have enlisted the help of one of the countries most experienced and popular ticketing websites www.ticketline.co.uk
Tim Barlow of Ticketline said “Pride in Brighton & Hove is an exciting event which has over the years established itself right at the top of people’s summer festival calendar; we are delighted to be part of this and give to them the benefit of our experience.”
Pride Chair, Russell Allen said “We know that demand for tickets is going to be really high, every day we are receiving phone calls and emails requesting tickets. Working with an organisation like Ticketline who have an unprecedented reputation in this industry has made the process that much smoother and they will be advising us along the way in this landmark year.
“We are delighted that on the day we announce when tickets will be on sale we have been able to offer additional concessions and extended postcodes. I am particularly pleased that on top of these additions we have retained 4,000 tickets which will be given out free of charge to community groups, organisations and charities”.
If you can’t wait for tickets go on sale, whether you live inside or outside the Sussex counties, you can secure your ticket today by becoming a member of Pride, full membership costs £25 and includes a free ticket to the park. Join now here
