Search for Pride Parade Director

Monday, 16th May 05

The annual Pride Parade through the heart of Brighton & Hove, a major feature of the August Pride Festival, is now the biggest street event in the City's calendar, attracting thousands of participants and spectators from across the region and The South East. The organisers are now searching for someone to take the reigns and steer the event to bigger and better things.

'We are looking for someone with a high level of co-ordination, and organisational skills who can act on their own initiative, solve problems and make key decisions in the run up to and on the day of the parade' said Rob Burlace, co-ordinator of the August weekend. Rob added ' The Director is responsible for ensuring that everyone taking part is in the right place, at the right time and that all this is done safely. They will need effective communication and teamwork skills together with the ability to manage their team. Previous experience is not necessary for the person with the right skills'.

If you think you have what it takes, should contact the Pride office on 01273 775939 or email for a full job description, application form and pay. The position is part-time commencing in June. Closing date for applications is 13th May 2005.

For further information contact Rob Burlace on 01273 775939, available 10.00hrs-17.00hrs Mon, Tues, Weds.
