Pride announces 2009 theme

Pride in Brighton & Hove is delighted to announce the theme for next year's celebrations. Following a record number of suggestions from Pride members and the public the Board of Trustees and Staff voted unanimously for the theme ‘Pride Beside The Seaside' which was suggested by Saskia Jackson from Brighton.
‘Pride Around the World is a hard act to follow but we are delighted with the 2009 theme which brings Pride in Brighton and Hove back home. We were particularly taken with this suggestion as it gives us an opportunity to showcase what makes Brighton and Hove so special and why we have such a large and diverse LGBT community' says Judith Manson, Fundraising and Communications Manager, Pride in Brighton & Hove.
The theme will be applied to everything Pride in Brighton & Hove does throughout the year and gives participants plenty of time to be creative, with loads of possibilities for both Winter Pride and Summer Pride 2009.
Previous themes have included Pride The Musicals, Carry On Pride, The Greatest Show on Earth, Silver Screen, Heroes and Heroines and of course the fantastic 2008 Pride Around The World theme.
Pride would like to thank Saskia for this fantastic theme, her prize for suggesting the winning theme is a money can't buy VIP Pride day on Saturday 1st August 2009.
