Pride is delighted to announce it has elected Yvonne Barker as Chair and Robert Clothier as Vice Chair with immediate effect. Yvonne joined the board in January 2006 and Robert in April 2007; both have played a vital role in shaping Pride in Brighton & Hove to what it is today, Yvonne as Company Treasurer and Robert as Lead Trustee for the major park event.

"Becoming the Chair of Pride in Brighton and Hove is a great honour. Having been involved in the year-round work of Pride as a board member and treasurer for the past three years I know just how much work goes in to making the Pride parade, event and festival weeks so successful. I am looking forward to working with the local community, our partners and the Pride team to really strengthen our education and awareness raising work and to involve more people in what we do." Says Yvonne Barker

Robert added "I'm very proud to be appointed Vice Chair and I know that we as a board will continue to build on the sucess of Pride, creating a bigger and better platform to allow the voice of our LGBT community to be heard."

These announcements come in light of the recent resignations of Josh Mills, Paul Smith, Jason Philips, Rebecca Beels and Philip Price whom the Board of Trustees would like to thank for all their hard work over the past few years and wish them every success in the future.
