THT South
Like us, you might well be surprised to discover just how much the lovely lot at THT South do for us here in Brighton & Hove...
Their Outreach services are probably the most visible and obvious interaction with the community, ensuring that there are free condoms available in gay venues as well as providing free sexual health information and other resources. The little Outreach van pays regular stops down at 'the bushes', again offering free condoms and even a cup of coffee and someone to chat to about sexual health.
As well as weekly sessions of '1 hour' HIV testing (Monday at 6pm - maximum 10 people), THT South offers support for HIV+ gay men, emotional support and advice for people living with or affected by HIV, support for heterosexual men with HIV, welfare rights advice for people with HIV and many other services such as peer support groups and telephone or face to face advice.
You may also be surprised to hear that they work in conjunction with the Hove Soup Run to provide condoms, emergency needles, information and support to the homeless and also provide outreach services to female sex workers.
And if you can't get along to their office in Ship Street then you may find their Netreach services useful - offering online advice on Gaydar on Thursday evenings from 7-10pm and on Saturday afternoons from 1-4pm.
The THT website is packed with information and advice and is well worth a read, too: www.tht.org.uk

Christmas Charity Fundraiser The Brighton Sauna's Christmas party was full of naughty surprises. Tammy Twinkle is always a lovely surprise... let's face it - a gig playing to 40 men in their towels could seem a bit daun |
