Still standing proud as one of Brighton’s brightest and busiest little bars is the intriguingly named dance bar, Vavoom. This cosy drinking den has been nestling snugly into the building right next door to Revenge for over two years now – and from humble beginnings has firmly established itself as an integral part of the ever-growing Brighton scene.
If you love MTV, you’ll love this bar. Echoing the plasma screen pop music frenzy that’s enjoyed in many a Soho venue, Vavoom has no shortage of fresh and funky dance tracks to keep you dancing around the bar. It even boasts it’s own video jukebox, of which is one of only a few in the area!
Vavoom has a modern, stylish interior but still manages to provide a warm and cosy feel. They’ve managed to squeeze in an incredible amount to utilize every inch of floor space, and on sunny days they open up the large front window to extend the drinking space onto the pavement outside. The bar's attention to detail is clearly demonstrated in the thousands of tiny tiles that spell out the name of the bar out front!
Perfect for a pre-club warm-up, an after hours drink or an all night session, the bar is now open very late over the weekends and happy hours are often extended - watch out for their now legendary theme nights and special marathon openings too... keep an eye on the REALBrighton listings for details. The drinks are reasonably priced, the barboys are helpful and are certainly not afraid to rid themselves of their tight Vavoom T-shirts. Hurrah indeed!
