Full speed ahead for the Street Party!
Thursday, 5th June 08
The CIT is pleased to announce that GScene will be sponsoring Juice FM’s coverage of the Village St Party 2008. Providing a uniform sound across the village and outside of all participating venues, giving it a truly carnival atmosphere throughout the weekend.
The Gscene is a Brighton and Hove LGBT community magazine since 1993. The magazine features local news, investigations, listings, features, and a hard hitting letters to the editor page. Twenty five independent contributors guarantee an unbiased view of the commercial scene and give LGBT, and voluntary sector organisations the opportunity to connect with 47,000 LGBT people each month.
We are offering six local DJs the opportunity to record and produce a 45-minute set at Juice FM, which will then be played over the Pride celebrations live on Juice FM. Your soundtrack - if chosen - will be played at every venue involved in the celebrations via a speaker system that stretches the length and breadth of the village and every venue located within. You truly will be wired for sound all weekend.
So if you feel you have the spin to make this Pride your Pride and have a soundtrack to match get in touch with Ben Davie direct
and get those demo mixes at the ready. Your street party needs you!
Plus, many venues have already completed their Temporary Event Notices (TENs) for the Aug weekend festivities. An up to date list of who is having outside bars, tables & chairs etc will be released soon, so watch this space!
Donations from other business outlets in and around the St James St area are still being collected, if you are interested in donating to such a fantastic event don't hesitate to contact Ben at the Amsterdam ( ). Remember unless enough is raised the Village St Party 2008 could still be at risk!
