With its huge proportion of gay and lesbian residents, Brighton is the ideal place to tie the knot.

Changes in the law means that same-sex partners will be afforded the same legal and financial rights as married couples from December 2005. Regardless of where you live, the Brighton Registry office can offer ceremonies at the Brighton Town Hall or at approved venues around the city.

The organisations and companies below all offer a service that couples choosing to formalise their relationship might like to consider. These companies have all been welcoming gay and lesbian clients for some time and have not just jumped on the 'gay wedding' bandwagon to make a fast buck - we thoroughly recommend them.

You can find the cuisines of the world just by walking down one street... Brighton has more restaurants per capita than anywhere in the UK outside of London. Thus, the competition and therefore the imagination. We list just a few of our favourites... Do, please, let us know if you've enjoyed your meal somewhere and think we should review the restaurant.

Rather than give you a barrage of euphemisms, let’s cut to the chase - the saunas we list are geared towards gay and bisexual men, unless otherwise stated on specific listings. They are a great place to meet new, likeminded people and clear your pores at the same time! Probably not for the critically chaste.
