Hi everyone, I just wanted to say thank you to those who voted for me as your fave female dj at the Golden Handbags... I was truly shocked to be holding that award for the third year in a row! As such a small gay community we sure know how to party... I love clubbers!
We are such a lucky city to have so much female DJ talent so may I big up Queenie, Hollie, Wildblood, King K, Annik and Rocket for being so great and giving so much to the dancefloors in our community. Not forgetting the boys Neil Duffie, Pete Haywood, Richard Jones, Jonny M, Diablo, Tony B, Gary Watts, Justin K... I could go on forever...
Paul Kemp, thanks for letting me play for you and supporting me when I need it most. I would have never experienced how I felt playing in the Wild Fruit tent to thousands of people if it wasn't for you.
My lovely fiancee Emma for supporting me when I get nervous and giving me love and Vezza who keeps me bouncy with her infectious enthusiasm for life and music.
I'd also like to thank everyone else I have worked for over the past year Fire, Honey Club, Candy Bar, Ministry of Sound, Discotec, DV8 and to Charles Street and Revenge for letting me do my Kinky Dangerous night in your venues.
Thanks to James from Gscene and Sam from Real Brighton for all their efforts.
So people its been a long cold weekend and its been so lovely to see your smiling faces every week to see me through. With April just around the corner, I'm ever so excited that the summer season will begin.
And I hope I'm allowed to say this bit.... I'll see you on the tables at Wild Fruit, Monkey, Rebel, Sunday Sundae, Cash Queen, Kinky and Contagious; keep smiling and I'll keep playing and remember always 'Read the flyer' as I like to play what it says on the flyer...whether it be old skool, funky, soulful, jackin, disco or electro... wouldn't wanna bore you and always wanna make you happy :)
