Bar... Barley Mow, St Georges Rd
Fab food and a great space out back (not recommended when it's raining though!)
  The Star Inn
Friendly and very bear-y every day of the week. Great for popping in for a swift half on a crawl but wouldn't spent the entire evening there either.
  Bulldog
An eternal feature on the Brighton scene. Best discovered undercover of night.

Café... Starbucks
Yeah alright already I know it's nasty corporate blah blah but I like their lattes so there.

Club... Wild Fruit
Brighton's biggest and best gay night and club promoter. Far as I'm concerned, the Wild Fruit gang hit the nail pretty much on the head every time: the monthly Creation parties, Monkey, Cash Queen and the WF tent at Pride. Gorgeous.
  Monkey
Occasional proper party night for the more discerning gay clubber. It's here... then it goes again... then it comes back... Catch it when (if) you can!
  Profile, London
At last - a funky gay club in Soho that's NOT the Shadow Lounge. Great DJs, nice vibe, not for the claustrophobic among us.

Restaurant... Sopar Thai
Very friendly neighbourhood Thai at the start of St Georges Rd in Kemptown. Great food and fantastic service.

Service... David Lloyd Club
Okay so it's not as friendly as Riptide was but I do LOVE being able to swim in the middle of winter.

Things To Do... Brighton Pier
Sorry but even if you live in Brighton, the Pier's always a fun place to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon with a hangover. Especially nice treat when you've got mates down, and you can always head up to the gay strip afterwards.
  Seafront cycle paths
Love ringing my bell at all the daytrippers as I speed along the seafront - you can go all the way from Madeira Drive into deepest darkest Hove without coming across a single car. Brilliant.
  Eastbourne on a Sunday
So totally, extremely different from Brighton in every single way (apart from the shingle) but lovely for a day-trip when you're not bothered about doing "the usual".
