Officially the service was launched on the weekend of the 1st of July with our WAPSquad visiting bars and clubs handing out flyers to interested punters! The response was, as anticipated, fabulous! There were gasps (seriously!) as we demonstrated that you can now pick up localised daily listings on the move right from your mobile. Whilst we did encounter some teething problems with different phones and networks, we think we've now ironed out all the remaining bugs - so anyone who tried it and had trouble before should give it another go. Obviously we're keen to hear if you're still having trouble (if pos, send us a note with the make/model of your phone, what network you're on and what the problem is). We're equally keen to hear if you want to tell us how fabulous the service is and how it saved your skin when you were looking for the phone number of that bar that you left your wallet in... or any other success story of course! But for most people the service should now work flawlessly, providing you with daily listings (What's on today? What's on tomorrow?), and with a comprehensive Directory of gay-friendly bars, clubs, restaurants, hotels and other businesses... all without moving more than a few muscles in your fingers! The service is free... you simply pay your network for the data that you download. Typically you have an allowance in your talkplan, but even if you're pay-as-you-go then it usually amounts to much less than 1p per page of information, so it won't break the bank!
