Do the I do
Brighton Gay Wedding Show 2008

Do the I do

Thursday, 31 January 2008

“We’re getting married in the morning, ding dong the bells are gonna chime!” Okay maybe not quite yet but if you’re planning a big day in the nearish future you’d best get your romantic selves down to the Gay Wedding Show.

Now in it’s fifth year the Gay Wedding Show has grown as quickly as the civil partnership industry itself. A one stop visit for all your nuptial needs, every supplier you’ll ever want will be there for you to browse or book. Add performances and example ceremonies and you have day out with more knot tying possibilities than a scouts jamboree.

Gino Meriano, the force behind Gay Wedding Show and Pink Weddings, said about 2008’s forthcoming shows, “it’s amazing to think that the UK saw its very first show launch in Brighton at the Hilton Metropole in 2004, so much has changed, new laws in play and increased support to this brand new market is on the up. We still see the Gay Wedding Show growing from strength to strength and five years on we are still here and helping thousands of couples arrange their special day. I am also delighted to announce a new venue for our Manchester show, The Ramada Jarvis, Piccadilly”.

And as for Brighton – arguably the UK’s capital of gay weddings – Gino is one excited event planner. "Brighton was electrifying, the air with filled with fun, style, and some amazing new creative ideas that will keep the gay market streets ahead” he enthused. “It's time to look at our market and show this amazing fresh approach to weddings shows for the future. I am proud and honoured to have such a fantastic range of some of the most outstanding exhibitors I have ever seen, where have they all been hiding? 2008 is going to be bigger and better than ever and celebrating our 5th year birthday we have some amazing new surprises so watch this space and remember there is only 1 official Gay Wedding Show, created for the community by people who care and have a passion for our rights and the desire to make a difference, beware of imitations".
