Monkey revives Kooklub
Tuesday, 8 April 2008
Aeon events, the team behind Wild Fruit, Monkey and other big nights out, announces the reopening of Kooklub in Pool Valley, Brighton - where they intend to put on a new season of Monkey and a variety of new nights.
The venue has remained closed for around six months and was in need of a burst of new energy... something that happened when the Monkey crowd arrived last Saturday. Since then Aeon has secured the venue for a new season of Saturday night Monkeys - as well as the go-ahead for some new ideas.
Monkey will now take place every Saturday with the exception of the 26th of April when the Coalition (used to be the Beach) will host a special Rebel party "Rebel Rocks!".
Aeon's plans for the Kooklub also include a spread of different parties and promotions and they're looking to include indie, pop and alternative - as well as continuing with dance and promising a few surprises too. A press release from Aeon said, "We're really excited about being given this opportunity and intend to experiment with a variety of parties and musical genres to offer a real alternative to partygoers in Brighton".
