Pride In Brighton & Hove 2008

Here we go then – our Christmas day, our big celebration, our party like no other is finally here. It’s Pride in Brighton & Hove 2008 and you can feel the excitement wherever you go. The queue for the supermarket check out seems camper, the hours spent in changing rooms are full of camaraderie (just how many Pride outfits do you need girlfriend?) and the rush to refill your glue gun is just way too exciting. It’s all winding up nicely as we keep an eye on the weather (sort it out Met Office!), book those last minute tickets and stock up on our Pride essentials.

We love this city of our come rain or shine but there’s something extra zingy about Brighton & Hove at Pride time. Fingers crossed or knees bent, those months of preparation will lead to something fabulous, as a city we just know it, and nothing, no nothing, is gonna rain on our parade.

So however you are partaking in Pride have a safe one. Be fabulous and feel the love. The love of the city your gracing right now, the love and dedication of the many pride workers and volunteers, the love and sweat of those working in venues across the city (we salute you) and, most importantly, the love of the nearest and dearest around you. Feel the pride and enjoy.
