Last Orders at Café 22
Café 22 renames to The Hub and gets alcohol licence

Last Orders at Café 22

Monday, 20 November 2006

Owner and manager of Café 22, Lee Walker, has been granted a licence to serve alcohol. From December 1st he is changing the name to 'The Hub' to celebrate and to emphasise the importance of the venue as a resource and local meeting place.

You'll still find all the things you're already used to finding at Café 22 such as Drury tea and coffee, the local and national gay press and the REALBrighton Internet Point at the back of the venue. You'll also find delicious mini cheesecakes, freshly made Bona Foodie sandwiches and now you'll even be able to order a draught Heineken, bottled beers, wines and spirits seven days a week from 9am until 11pm!

Lee has decided to change the name to The Hub to help it represent the important part that the place has for the community. It's traditionally been the place to go for information about the scene in Brighton as well as providing the perfect place to meet friends for a coffee... or even a coffee and a brandy if you're feeling the chill while you're Christmas shopping!

It's great news to learn of the extension of opening times and the serving of alcohol. I hope Lee will encourage the great French habit of chasing hot coffee with a seperate glass of cognac. Wow! I'm first in the queue. Sexyangelica.
