review

January is such a dodgy month as far as clubbing is concerned. We’ve just got the Christmas and New Year festivities out of the way, but because most of us get paid early in December, we have to make our budgets stretch that extra week in January.

I’ve been neglecting the Harlequin for way too long now, so I decided to venture out on a freezing cold Friday night… and was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find loads of other fun-loving Friday people waiting for me!

As the Harlequin is tucked away at the top end of town nowhere near the main village, it’s one of those places where you can go and have a fantastic time without the pretentiousness that you sometimes feel at some of the clubs downtown.

As time ticked by the place filled with many boys, gals and those in between, who all came to dance their nights away. All too soon the bell was rung to let us know the night was over… Damn! I was just about to burst into my advanced breakdancing techniques on the dancefloor… maybe next time! ;o)
