Brighton's single power-lesbians gathered around a table in Kruze, overseen by two bunny girls and forced to chat and make small-talk until an unfeasibly loud whistle alerted them that they must move round.

This was lesbian speed dating and by the look of the healthy numbers and the loud hubbub of chit chat and earnest faces - it was a resounding success.

Meanwhile, downstairs a whole crowd had gathered - perhaps unaware of what was happening upstairs (with the exception of that whistle... Oowww!). To add even more surreality (yes, it's a word that I've just made up), a rice cake was neatly presented to me towards the end of the evening by a small group that were leaving... ermmm...
