Brighton's best...
|
Out with the lads. Back with the gals....
review Set to become a regular feature on Brighton's clubbing calendar, Queer Nation decamped from Brixton to give us another taste of what we're missing up there. The music: Tops... Kate Wildblood did battle with the sound system (the only way she could tell if the limiter had cut the sound was when everyone stopped dancing!), and Supadon spun his funky stuff to an appreciative audience. The crowd: It wasn't rammed... although it was by no means empty. Still... everyone was suitably chilled and friendly, so no complaints! The staff: Some of the smiliest people to be seen either side of a bar. The place: The rumour is that they're going for a new licence to allow them to run both floors as a single club. Presumably this means they'll finally get a plumber for that sink downstairs (how many years?!) and sort out the sound upstairs? Ooh, and maybe even take out a REALBrighton business membership while they're at it? It's surely about time to support us?! The hangover: Well, not content with downing Tequila shots at Queer Nation, we piled down to Candy Bar where it all becomes a blur. I'm obviously never drinking again.
