Fake Bush Fundraiser...
review
What a great way to spend an evening and make lots of money for the Sussex Beacon! The event was completely sold out, with lucky diners spending £35 for a beautifully presented slap up meal and No Name very generously donating an incredible £30 of that to the charity.
The menu was inspired and alluded to the evening's entertainment with such choice dishes as 'Heathcliffe rocket salad', 'bed of Babboshka avacado guacamole' and 'a wow spiced sweet pepper coulis'! The No Name kitchens and staff managed to perform miracles in the effortless service and fabulous food, despite everyone arriving at once.
Fake Bush was on hand with her suitably surreal performance of crowd-pleasers such as Wuthering Heights, Rolling the Ball, Babooshka, The Hounds of Love and The Man with the Child in His Eyes. Floaty dresses and dancer slippers were obligatory as she waved her arms with balletic poise and weightless glide around the diners, not to mention the 'just got out of bed' trademark hairdo.
A raffle and auction realised some serious cash, with an excellent range of prizes donated by local business. The event raised in the region of £1800 for The Sussex Beacon... Such generosity in time and money from a small local venue needs to be fully recognised and loudly applauded. Very well done to Gary and the team!
The next event for the Sussex beacon is on 4 October, when Dave Lynn is set to wreak havoc. You really ought to book now.

To carry off good quality food with a laid back and relaxed atmosphere is a real skill, rarely achieved. No Name appears to have cracked it, which is probably why it tops the polls again and again. Click for more info and complete listings for (no name) restaurant and bar
