review

The newest addition to the repertoire of lesbiana to rear its head was "Society" at B-Lo on Saturday night.

We were met by the gorgeous door whores Zoe and Craig, then led down into the newly refurbed Joint. A lick of grey paint and a relocated see-through DJ box later, and it's now B-Lo.

First on the decks was new girl on the block, Hollie with her style of uncomplicated funky house, playing the original and best with nowt taken owt. Next, King K played her trade-mark brand of deep down and dirty twisted disco and to be honest, by the time Mags came on, I'd taken way too much advantage of the £1 tequilas to rightly remember!

The general consensus was that it was a wicked night had by boys and girls alike, and I can only hope that it stays the distance. We all know how fickle the lesbian contingency can be. Keep up the good work Dulcie, and thanks for a fab night.

Take one new venue, 4 great DJ’s, a mix of glamorous girls and gorgeous guys, as well as that fierce, funky house sound and you have all the ingredients for the fantastic new night Society.
