The Return of the QH!...
review Dame Margot, sporting her new hearing aid that even gets FM and DVD, was joined by her good friend Dame Joyce for a few numbers such as 'Anything Goes' (which was pretty much true) and 'All for a Glass of Champagne' (although, in Margots case, it was more like a bottle). The VIP re-opening of the Queen's Head was a delight. Happy Hour prices all night at the bar meant that it was very inexpensive (get there any day from 4pm to 7pm to experience Happy Hour for yourself) and that everyone was very merry. The news is that they'll be serving traditional pub food every day from noon until 7pm (all-day breakfasts, jackets etc...) and Sunday Lunches from 12pm to 3pm on... er... Sundays! Towards the end of the evening, Paul Joseph (have you heard him sing?! He's got quite a voice!) brought things up to date with some more danceable numbers with Margot on sound behind him... I'm not quite sure Paul expected her to jump in with "One Time! Two Times!" during his rendition of 'Killing me Softly', but it made for a very good show. After his third encore ("Shall we do one more, Paul? There's a whole CD here we haven't played!") we let him escape and I hurried for the door before anyone else could buy me a drink... Best of luck to the new Queen's Head gang!
