REALBrighton review
La Clique is billed as a 'sideshow burlesque', though with artists like chanteuse Camille O'Sullivan performing solo during the festival too, you could call it a kind of Brighton Festival tapas. And though you may marvel at trapeze artists, spectacular gymnasts and hula-hooping maestros, it's more akin to freaky circus horror movie Sante Sangre than Gerry Cottle's big top (and that's a good thing). Expect gobsmacking sword-swallowing from Miss Behave, an idiosyncratic striptease from Screamers favourite Ursula Martinez, and some rather homoerotic acrobatics from dazzling blonde eastern Europeans the Caesar Twins. Not to be missed.
At the time of writing, David O'Mer is not appearing in the show due to an ankle injury - they hope he will return to the show but don't have a date yet.
