Hotel Voyeur CD Launch...
review When one of Brighton's most renowned DJs announces the arrival of an album you just know REALBrighton's going to be there to grab the first copy. Wild Fruit DJ extraordanaire and much more besides, Mr Pete Hayward is a name that few Brightonians will fail to recognise. For me this album hits all the right spots. I'm biased, of course, cos I've enjoyed Pete's music for a few years now and he seems to be pulling more interesting things out of the (record) bag every time he plays. This, then, is a double-CD compilation of downright sexy pre and post-club beats. Some of it you'll recognise, some of it is entirely new... all of it will, without a doubt, stimulate your senses. With the stunning Kasia (yes, you'll recognise the album's cover-girl as the leggy temptress that hangs out with Pete in the DJ box at Wild Fruit) providing some vocals and with Pete getting right under the skin of the tracks he's chosen to mix together... you're unlikely to be disappointed. The album Hotel Voyeur is now on general release and you can pick up your copy at Virgin Records, by getting in touch with us (we'll pass on your email) or by grabbing Pete at the next Wild Fruit! Blanch House provided the perfect setting for the album launch with it's sumptuous bar and restaurant area both put to good use for the makeshift clubnight. Champagne was sipped, music industry people shmoozed to an ambient clubby soundtrack from Queen Jo.
