Think F*ck The Pain Away... think A-Dam and DJ Wanker spinning delectable electrotrash to a mixed crowd of queers... But... this was FTPA on the Friday of Pride! They may have been playing 'Boys, Boys, Boys' when I walked in but as my disgruntled gay boy friend proclaimed, "there weren't any in the sodding club"!

The Candy Bar was rammed, the DJ's were loving it and the atmosphere electric. As one excited reveller exclaimed, "It feels like Christmas Eve for Gays!" Sums it up really! Great night!

about F*ck The Pain Away

F*ck the Pain Away - launched in the summer of 2003, and now billed as "Brighton's favourite Homo Electro Punk Disco" - is alternative queer clubbing at its best. Originally a monthly fixture at Storm, the night moved across to the less-earthy surroundings of Candy Bar in March 2005. They take over the reins at the venue while the girls run their Wet Pussy night elsewhere.
