The long weekend weather was smiling as the crowds gathered for the last Wild Fruit of August. Decked out in shiny blingin' attire, Creation was pumping soon enough as Neil Duffie kicked the music off in the main room while Tee Jay got things moving in the Budoir. It wasn't long before the club was packed out with gorgeous girls and equally gorgeous (and mostly shirtless!) boys.

As the night moved on all too quickly, large crowds had gathered in front of the two entrances to the newly renovated Lava Lounge. Opening the front at midnight may now be too late and is testament to the appeal of the amazing club-within-a-club - not to mention the sets by the amazing Richard Jones and legendary Dulcie Danger. It wasn't long before the dancefloor was filled with pimps and pimpette's (?!) getting down to another great Sunday selection from Richard and Dulcie.

After dancing for what felt like only 5 minutes in the Lava Lounge, the REALBrighton cameras ventured back into the Main room en masse, where Mr Haywood had taken over the decks and worked the crowd into a state that you can only really see at Wild Fruit. The heat was ignored, the shirts came off and there was not a frown to be seen as hundreds of us danced the night away.

As 1:30 rolled around, the music faded out and the night's show began. Flanked by 4 sexy dancers, Tia stormed the night and performed her new dance single The Beach. Barefooted and dressed in the most short of black dresses, she got the crowd going in no time. After the show finished, Nick T took over in the main room, playing some classic tunes mixed with the best of the new, while in the Boudoir, DJ Rocket finished the night off on a high.

about Wild Fruit

The monthly Wild Fruit is undoubtedly one of Brighton's clubbing institutions. Always glamorous, always packed and always great music from resident DJs Pete Haywood, Neil Duffie and friends. The night is often punctuated with stage acts, muscly dancers, regular live big name PAs and guest DJs such as local superstar DJ Norman Cook... it's NEVER a dull party!
