But as it turned out I had nothing to be scared of. They're a very friendly bunch in there, although I did slightly OD on testosterone and had to revive myself at The Candy Bar afterwards!

I must admit that I found it hard to convince myself that it was 'New Year's Eve' on August 28th. Nevertheless a great effort had obviously been made - the festive decorations were in abundance and there was even a Christmas tree!

At the turn of the New Year (at 10.30pm...?) the punters grabbed the poppers (of the party-popping variety!) and broke into a rendition of Auld Langs Ayne. Fabulous!
