Legends and the New Europe Hotel have closed for it's massive overhaul which will see it expanded out into a double fronted hotel and entertainment complex.

Obviously, it wouldn't be right not to mark the occasion and there was a whole day of entertainment and revelry, not to mention a few last minute drinks to wish her well in her new venture.

The afternoon saw the late and great Phil Starr, which we very sadly missed, but which will have a very different place in everyone's hearts with his now-poignant rendition of 'We'll Meet Again'.

The evening saw Jacque Plunkett perform, and then join in the party with much gusto!

There was an emotional farewell to the staff, who we hope to see back there in ten months' time.
