Its always nice for me to go into the Queens Arms, as it brings back some really great memories from when I was a barman there! It was the first of December so, as you might expect, the event was a World Aids Day charity night, and the place was busy! As always.

£2 entry, all of which went straight to charity, got everyone a plethera of acts from Lola Lasanga to good old Betty Swollocks! All the acts put in their talents for free, and a raffle (for which the QA is renowned) finished off a superb night. Pop into the Queens Arms for some lunchtime drinks and see how much they raised!

Well done to Cherry and everyone at the QA for there hard work in making a very memorable night.

Seconds after this shot it exploded, taking Betty, the QA and most of St James' St with it

about Queen's Arms

The matriarch of Brighton's mixed pubs, the Queens Arms delves into her handbag every night of the week to serve up big, camp portions of live entertainment, special events and karaoke. By day, a more contemporary feel to the venue has led to a laid-back atmosphere by day where you can grab a drink and watch the big screens or browse the free newspapers on offer.

The next Queen's Arms date for your diary:

Saturday, 22nd November
Afternoon Entertainment then Karaoke
