Christmas Special : Part One...
review

Tonight saw former Housemartin and Million record selling DJ Superstar Fatboy Slim joining world renowned pop DJ's Boogaloo Stu  and Dynamite Sal on the wheels of steel.
I have to admit; I was rather excited to hear Fatboy Slim was doing a warm up set at Dynamite Boogaloo. His latest album, the blur-inspired Palookaville saw Fatboy Slim dumping the computer for his Bass guitar (The same one he played in the Housemartins ) and collaborating with local Brighton band Jonny Quality on many tracks. However tonight we got Fatboy Slim the DJ and not Fatboy Slim the artist, so when he dropped more house anthems than block-rocking-beats I was slightly disappointed. To be fair I probably stood alone, the crowd a mixture halfway between the gutter and the stars seemed to love every minute of his set. Although I was quietly glad when Dynamite Sal took over with some Madonna!
Keeping its reputation as a secret celebrity haunt; The Human League even made appearance. Probably to check out Boogaloo Stu's hot new track Magnetic Heart which he performed live on stage with his show-pony dance troupe Sparkle-Motion. Dolly Rocket then softened the crowd with a beautiful rendition of Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas before emptying dried spunk from her lady purse onto the audience to imitate snow… it was a lovely! Six foolish volunteers then braved the gameshow that ended with faking orgasms and then getting naked! (I'm sure that happens in a different order in my house?)
Dynamite Sal and Eddie the Goat Boy kept the party going into the very early hours of the morning, it was still going at 3am when I left. It definitely was a Christmas special, and this was only part one. Dynamite Boogaloo Christmas Special Part 2 is next Thursday! I'm not sure how they can cap tonight, but I'm certain they always do!
