Phil Starr Tribute - Second Half...
review
After the interval we were introduced to some new theatrical talent in the shape of the React Theatre Company who are currently planning their Jekyll & Hyde Musical at the Gardner Arts Centre. Topping & Butch appeared to tumulteous applause and gave their take on Cherie Blair and, perhaps more significantly, the drag queens of the circuit. Claudia Patrice unleashed her huuuge voice before making way for the always-fabulous D E Experience, whose vocal impressions were given extra dimension by the accoustics of the venue. Very appropriately, Maisie Trollette rounded off with her own tribute to her old comedy partner.
Finally, the goosebumps broke out as the hairs stood up to attention as The Rainbow Chorus teamed up with The City of Brighton Gay Men's Chorus to sing out the anthem to the show - When You Tell Me That You Love Me.
