Until tonight, XXL was my size in apparel - being one who shops at the H&M in North Street as opposed to Churchill Square. So it was with some interest that I checked out the newly reborn XXL at The Junction.
And what a fantastic evening it was. Wall to wall men, who clearly prefer beef to chicken on their menu, great sounds from the DJ and everyone in very good spirits, or should that be beers - not an alcopop in sight, it was pints all the way... We talked to loads of really nice, friendly people and had a whale of a time. And how liberating!
So, of the new venue? Well, as a certain young blond - the original in bear interior critiques - would have put it; it's not too small, it's not too big, it's just right!
