“Saturday night, I feel the air is getting hot, like you baby” sang Ms Whigfield back in the 90’s. As did I to the rather lovely barboys at Vavoom at the weekend.

Just what is happening down at Vavoom? The once unassuming bar that advertised itself as ‘next door to Revenge’ has now firmly established itself as an integral part of the Brighton scene – and for good reason.

The drinks are reasonably priced, the music is always pumping and owner Alan manages to persuade the barboys to get near-naked on most weekend nights. Main-man Scott even manages a cheeky smile when he’s called upon to clear up glasses that are mistakenly dropped - give him a pay-rise at once!

Make sure you’re part of the action by heading down there the next time Wild Fruit is on, or indeed whenever you’re out and about. It’s a great place to warm up for another big night and cool down after you’ve been busting some ever-so-slightly drunken moves at Creation (or Arc). Which still leaves one question: how many blow jobs can you handle in one night? Ask at the bar!
