review

The Brighton Festival really wouldn't be the Brighton Festival without a Spiegeltent or two...

If you've never set foot in a Spiegeltent is then you're in for a treat. Venture inside for a fabulous line-up of entertainment over the next three weeks or so. They're built of wood, mirrors, canvas and stained glass and have a really luxurious velvety finish inside - almost Tardis-like in the space that they create, and each one with a distinctive character.

Due to the huge popularity of the Famous Spiegeltent in Brighton over the last few years, it is joined this year by a second tent, a European mirror tent, to form what they're calling the Spiegel Garden. It's a wonderful thing! REALBrighton popped down there for the opening evening to sip on some Champagne and be thoroughly entertained by local busking band, the Fridge Magnets.

Shows this year include the fabulous La Clique, Boothby Graffoe, Tina C, Tragic Roundabout, The Levellers, Dominic Holland, Topping & Butch, Voodoo Vauderfille and Ida Barr... to name but a few!
