REALBrighton review

Despite a bit of rain (well - actually it was more than a bit, and it was more like hail!) the second national Student Pride was a resounding success, drawing a crowd from around the corner and around the country.

Still being a relatively small affair, it has a good, warm feeling about it - with everyone there to enjoy good company, food, entertainment and - obviously - the bar.

Many congratulations to the staff and volunteers who worked to ensure that the day went so smoothly... it's a great idea and fingers crossed it has now firmly established itself as an annual event.

We ate, we drank, we were entertained and even educated. The right combination and in the right order! I must admit that we made a fairly hasty retreat when it started hailing, but all the more time to get ready for the evening's entertainment...

Oxford Brookes Student Union is a perfect venue for this kind of event... a big enough space for everyone to have their own spot on the dancefloor, and a stage to crowd around when the live entertainment is on...

The Student Pride clubnight was supported by Nightingales, Pop Tarts and by local club Cloud 9... which is where we headed for a nightcap before we retreated... always a good night but always SUCH a sore head in the morning... I'm never drinking again.
