The Coast... is toast....
review
My phone has started buzzing uncontrollably. Texts are flying in, "Are you there?" "Have you seen the news?" "The West Pier... Again!" But there's no panic... even if I miss it this time, someone'll set it alight again next week I expect.
Richard ventured down to the pier in the afternoon to see what he could see. Some hard-hatted men seemed to be dangerously close to the action. Surely not the safest place to be even on a calm day. But today the wind was billowing through what little remains of the pier to ensure that the fire started eary in the morning would remain lit all day long... and into the night...
When we finally arrived at midnight there were a few pockets of flames still burning. Surely this is it, this time?

Over the last couple of years the demise of the Grade I listed building has been more spectacular than usual... Click for more info and complete listings for West Pier & i360
